Main Street hasn’t had any changes for a long time, so I was happy to see changes in Kevin Horneman’s building (the old Sauvageau Bar). He has started painting the outside. Saturday his son and some other young people were cleaning out the inside and working on the roof.
A sign of fall is a huge pumpkin in Chris and Sarah Ammon’s garden. Many people told me to get a picture of it.
Ted Mertz’s Construction Co. has finished taking down the old Leland Grossman house, removing the concrete from the basement and leveling off the lot. That house had seen better days!
Most of the homes that were for sale a month or so ago have now been sold. Some have children as the Elementary school enrollment has increased to 99.
